Catherine Heyman, O.D., received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1993 from the Southern California College of Optometry after earning her BS degree in Biology from San Diego State University. She then completed a residency in Pediatric Optometry and Vision Therapy at the Southern California College of Optometry in 1994. She is a fellow and a Diplomate in the Binocular Vision and Vision Perception Section of the American Academy of Optometry as well as a fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. Dr. Heyman has over 18 years of experience in Optometry. She has a special interest in children's vision and vision development. She has lived in the Yorba Linda Community for 13 years and is active in many community organizations including, National Charity League, Girl Scouts and PTSA. In addition to her ownership of Old Towne Optometry, Dr. Heyman is an Associate Professor at the Southern California College of Optometry. She is the Coordinator of the Vision Program at the Blind Children's Learning Center in Santa Ana and coordinates the Special Population/ Pediatric Visual Impairment Service at the Southern California College of Optometry.
